Vocational Skills
Continuum provides opportunities for clients to participate in volunteer job sites to build entry level vocational skills. Job sites may include restaurants, retail shops, and services. Clients who have a desire to develop their vocational skills are provided with mentoring through a vocational specialist/job coach at job sites where they can ask questions and receive immediate and direct feedback on job performance.
Mobility Training
Clients will be provided with opportunities to navigate through their local communities by using public transportation to get to/from assigned job sites and community integration activities. Clients will become familiar with local bus route(s) and acquire skills necessary to ride city transit.
Community Integration
Continuum seeks to provide clients with ample opportunities for community integration, should they choose to participate. These opportunities include city libraries, public parks, and local community sites (i.e. Angel Stadium, Knott's Berry Farm, Downtown Disney, bowling, movies).
